Another hill on this roller coaster of a diet...

And the roller coaster car keeps climbing the damn hill....

Last week I lost .6lbs and then this week I gained .8lbs.

What the $@#$!!

So here is the plan....

*Track EVERYTHING! I usually track most everything anyway but I have vowed to write down every gosh darn thing that goes into my mouth!!!

*Exercise!  I usually try to walk a couple times a week but this week I will walk EVERY DAY!!!

*Drink more water!  This I don't do.  I can't stand water therefore, I don't drink it.  So this week I will drink at least 1-2 glasses of water a day.

Now...if I get on that darn scale next Saturday and still gain weight...

I just might have to eat a chocolate Zinger!  (Just kidding)

Housekeeping is exercise...right?

The hubby has been on vacation since December 21st.  I joined him on vacation for the most part only working a couple of days during that time.  The kids have also been home during this time.

Which means...

The house looks like a tornado has moved through it.

So today, the hubs went back to work.  I decided, when he left at 5:00 am, that I would clean/organize the basement today.

Oh what a job awaited me!

Our basement is completely finished with a family room, bathroom, bedroom, laundry room, and storage room.  The bedroom gets all the clothing not worn during a particular season.  The laundry room...well is a laundry room.  The storage room is where all the Christmas items are stored, along with hunting equipment/clothing.  So...yep...it is a mess.  The family room is where the kids entertain and roam so its pretty much a given it looks like crap. This room also holds an 'office' which is where all the papers get thrown that you're not sure what the heck to do with them. Then there's the bathroom that never gets used and when it does its by the kids...you get the picture.

Needless to say, the basement is somewhere I tend to avoid and the area that the hubby has asked several times to organize.  He would by all means clean the rest of the basement but going through the paperwork he wouldn't know what to do with any of it.

So I decided to surprise him by the time he got home (plus there was a guy coming to fix our broken washer and didn't want him to see the mess).

I started at 10:00 am and didn't come back upstairs till 3:00 pm.

The finished results are...the room is clean and since I was so busy cleaning I didn't have time to eat crap.

So since I didn't snack on crap and was constantly bending, standing, vacuuming, and dusting...that's exercise right?

I think so....I even dusted the treadmill while I was down there!

Where in the world have I been?

Man!  Has it really been over 9 months since I've posted on here?

Guess so!

Well, as of yesterday, it has been a year since I've started my weight loss journey with Weight Watchers.

So here goes my total....

Down 55.6lbs since December 31, 2011.

Originally, I was kinda of bummed about this total.  I somehow I thought that it should be higher than that.  I guess a lot of my problem was that the last couple of months I have been on the weight loss roller coaster.  I'd lose a couple of pounds, then gain them back.  Lose 1/2 lb then gain 2lbs.  Lose 3lbs then gain 1lb.  You get the idea.  I have been hoovering around that 55lb weight loss since October.  So needless to say, I was getting a little irritated.

Then I posted my loss on Facebook and had an amazing acquaintence say this, "Yeah, look at it this way, you've lost 55lbs in 52 weeks."  That hit me...a pound or over a week.  Then I remembered the Weight Watchers goal of 1/2 to 2lbs a week is a healthy weight loss.  So I guess I'm going about the right way.

I wanted to be able to post some differences in me.

This was me in March 2011, at my heaviest...     And me last week...

This is a picture of me (around August/September 2012) wearing a pair of jeans that were a favorite of mine.

So now the plan is to keep on truckin'...

I still have about 50 more pounds I'd like gone.  So now that I have stuck to last year's New Year's Resolution.  This year's resolution is to focus more on the blog.

Have a great year!

Where did the time go?

It has definitely been awhile since I posted.

It has been going goood though!  I have officially been on the diet for 6 weeks and have lost 17.6 lbs!!!

I'm quite excited about this!

My clothes are looser and I definitely have more energy.  I even had to add another notch to a belt that I have!  YIPEE!!!  I went to my first Aqua Zumba this evening and wore my swimsuit from last season with some swim shorts.  They both were looser and the shorts almost fell off when I got out of the water.  The straps on the suit kept falling down.

Don't get me wrong there are days that are hard.  Like Super Bowl Sunday when I really wanted to tie into the pan fried chicken legs, homemade chocolate truffels and the massive homemade cinnamon rolls that our host made! Oh man!  But I did the best I could and had a bit of each of my husband's plate.

I have found a couple of recipes that kinda help with my sweet tooth and keep me on my diet. Here is one of them:

Single Serve Cake-1pt.
1 Box of Angel Food Cake Mix
1 Box of any flavor cake mix-use your favorite
Mix both boxes of dry mixes together in a ziploc bag.  Take 1/4 cup of the mix and place it in a coffee mug.  Mix with 2 TBSP of water.  Microwave 1 minute.  Ready to eat.
I usually serve with a tad of sugar free/fat free Cool Whip.

Yum, yum!!!

I also found that Kellog makes a SpecialK Cracker Chip with all kind of different flavors that are wonderful!  For 27 chips they are worth 3 pts. Great snack!

DAY TEN, ELEVEN, TWELVE, THIRTEEN, FOURTEEN, FIFTEEN

January 14, 2012

Its been awhile huh?

Super busy week!  So busy that I only had about two days of exercise which I think showed in my weight loss.  However, I weighed in this morning and....

Lost 2.8lbs this week!!!

I'm still happy with it because its still weight loss.

Anyway, on Tuesday our community started a weight loss challenge so I decided to sign up for it.  Mostly because there are some organizations that open up their gyms for open gym times and organized exercise classes.  So I decided that six weeks of free physical activity was worth it.  And if I could come away with some cash money for winning the individual catergory...why not?

My goal this week is to 1. drink more water and 2. to excerise at least 4 times this week.

And then my other non weight loss goal is to do this blog everyday....I hope I can acheive all three!!

And on to tomorrow....

Current Weight:  252.6lbs

DAY NINE

January 8, 2012

Today started off bad.  The sad part is it had nothing to do with food.  I woke up with a really bad headache...I should say migraine.  Awful.  Then I noticed the stench of dog poop.  Yes the damn dog decided to crap right beside my bed!  Ugh!

But on to better things.  Not a bad day with the food today.  I even ate lunch at McDonald's with my daughter and I think I handled it well.  Although...I did bum a couple of french fries off of her lunch..heehee!
(Gotta get her perks where ya can!)

i wanted to go walk today but my kiddo had other ideas.  I can usually entice her with shopping so we bargained and went to the mall.  Then we did a little Wii Sports after we got home.

Back to work tomorrow.  First full week of work since middle of December...wonder how that's going to go over?

On to Monday...

DAY EIGHT

January 7, 2012

5.6 lbs!!!!!

Yep...that is my weight loss for the first week!

I'm pretty proud of that.  Although I think it could have been more if I would have skipped the Chipotle last night.  I think I need to have that as a reward for Saturday lunches instead, you know, after weigh in!

Food wise it was a pretty typical day and not too bad.  I did make Chicken Parmasean for dinner tonight and even coated a chicken breast in eqq whites for me instead.  Although I did indulge a little bit and also had some garlic bread which is.....wow....full of points!  But I still managed to stay within my daily points.

Then my husband came home from hunting at my parent's farm with some cupcakes and Rice Krispie Treats from my mother.  I think my jaw dropped to the floor when those came out of the grocery sack.  Although after doing some investigation it is determined that a Rice Krispie Treat is only 3 points!!!! Did you hear that?  3 points!  I'm so having one of those tonight!  The cupcakes on the other hand.....those are strictly for the kids...I'm forcing myself to stay away from those!

Excerise was non-existent today.  I should have taken the time to get some in when the kids and husband were gone.  But I was cleaning the house and by time I thought about it, it was getting dark and it was just me and my daughter home.  She didn't want to go and she's too young to stay home by herself.  She had just played 30 minutes of non-stop basketball game so it didn't seem right to make her get back out and walk with her dear old Mom.  Tomorrow is a different day...there will be a walk in my day at some point!

On to tomorrow....

1st week weight loss:  5.6 lbs----255.4 lbs
